Utahraptor said "There are physical limits to what a -" before he was interrupted by T-Rex. If he'd been allowed to continue he would have said "There are physical limits to what a device such as that can do, and it wouldn't be enough, as I said earlier - assuming of course that the person lives a sedate lifestyle and barely uses their legs."
I say this because it turns out that people are ALREADY working on T-Rex's invention! In fact, they're such great people that they started working on it even before he invented it, and that's really something. Thank you everyone who sent me links to this Science Daily article and this NPR story. I even got some emails from researchers working on this very problem, which was kind of crazy, because I hadn't expected that! It made me think that if I'd written a comic about how you can converse in English with your dogs now instead, we'd all be waking up today to a world where, come Christmas 2009, a Dog Talker will be on the top of everyone's list!

Series Re-Read: The Departure
Cassie's had it. After the last mission, she realizes she's getting tired of missions. Tired of battles. Tired of being an Animorph. She decides that she just can't do it anymore. So she quits. But that's not the worst that's happened. It seems a human-controller named Karen followed Kassie after the last run-in with the Yeerks. And she knows Cassie is an Andalite-or human. Either way, if she exposes Cassie, it's all over. No more Cassie. No more Animorphs. And no more Earth... I can see how long the talk on this book is gonna be lol. Ther'e'll be a lot of speaking out about Cassie and her actions, but there is also one good thing about this book. I do like how KAA plunges us into shades of gray and shows us the Yeerk's POV. She lets us actually feel a bit of empathy for them. I still think it would have been interesting if Aftran had stayed inside Cassie for a while but I can see why it was dangerous too. I think they should've made her a human nothlit with that frolis thingy, but then I'm getting a little ahead of myself. That's not until The Sickness. |

tattoos
Anyone have any Animorphs related ink??? I spent Sat at a tattoo palour with my partner, and saw a design on the wall that just screamed Yeerk...so i got it on my foot. =) hehe wondering if anyone else as something? ADDIT!!! ok i finally took a photo of it... its only 2 days old, so is still fresh, and will fade heaps. Firstly, it doesn't look anything like a yeerk on the book covers or in the tv series, because it is what a yeerk looked like in my head. ready? ( YEEEEEEEEEEEEERK!!! ) Current Mood:  curious |

Moar comic!
It's true, I've been updating everyday as planned! Hopefully you guys have been checking out the site ;) The latest comic was from yesterday (I always seem to update at the last minute before bed):  A special, less sketchy version than normal. Still working out character designs as I go, hopefully they will kind of evolve on their own. I may be coming up to enough panels now to warrant a whole page :) Make sure to keep checking the main comic page or subscribe to the RSS feed on the site for instant updates as they happen! Also, I will resurrect my Twitter feed: AnimorphsComic I'll probably only update the LJ once a week. Maybe I should start my own Animorphs Graphic Novel LJ community? So, I made this last year (when I had access to screen printing supplies) and I just kept forgetting to take a picture of it and post it! All the fanart finally reminded me. I thought you all might get a kick out of it. Sadly, not many people get it when I wear it about, but I'm hopeful that one day, some random stranger will get the joke and we'll have a nerdy nostalgic moment of joy.  |

Animorphs: A Graphic Novel
Animorphs: A Graphic Novel!  I've officially started work on my graphic novel project I've been thinking, mulling over, starting- then stopping again forever now....
